1941 double-ender gaff-rigged sailboat, modeled after the North Sea Lifeboats. Built by Dutch sailer Lopes in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1941. Has a 1950s 60-hp Palmer engine which was rebuilt in 2005. New sails. One owner from 1941-2004, then transferred to current owner for restoration 2004-2006. Has been in the water continuously since 1941, minus restoration time. Out of water since November 2012.
This boat was sought after by the Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut for permanent exhibition in the 1970s. Original teak deck below fiberglass decking. Cabin was raised in the 1980s, but can easily be restored to original design. Entire hull was recaulked and refitted in 2004.
