Architect Kenneth L. Smith was engaged by Richard R. Lovett, Jr., founder of Longport Marine and Lovett Bilge Pump, to design a 43 Downeast Lobster Yacht. Artisan Rod Marple spent from 1963 to the summer of 1967 completing this masterpiece. Built out of Mahogany on 7″ oak frames represents the finest constructed vessel of its type ever built. The current owners purchased this vessel in the summer of 2000 and have spent the past seven years investing the time, talent and the funds necessary to ensure that this incredible Lobster Style Flybridge vessel graces the waterways for another forty years.
