Whitehall-styled pulling boat with stations for two oarsmen, built in 1997 by the Maine Maritime Museum Apprentice Shop in Bath, Maine. Carvel plank built. The overall length is approximately 14′-3″ and the beam is approximately 48-50″. The mahogany gunnels, seats, and accents along with the rest of the boat, are in excellent condition. It has been stored in a garage since ownership 17 years ago, except for 9 months outside. The hull has now been repainted. The oars are in original condition with beautifully worked leather sleeve and collar.
Considered one of the most beautiful row-boats, they are designed to handle the harbor chop and yet track straight. The hull shape is characterized by a nearly straight stem, and slight flare to the bow, rounded sides, with a keel running the entire length of the bottom and a distinctive wine glass transom with a full skeg.
