The Catspaw Dinghy is an outstanding small sailboat and rowing boat. The design originates from Herreshoff’s Columbia Dinghy. Built by East Hill Boat Shop in 2008 to plans drawn by Joel White modified for WoodenBoat.
The Catspaw is stable and versatile. Seating for up to five people. A natural choice for family or individual outings. The rig is a single boomless spritsail with 64 square feet of canvas.
She’s in very good condition, having been given light use in Gloucester Harbor and overwintered indoors in a heated facility. Trailer is in good condition.
“[We] have been impressed by the performance and versatility of this boat... It’s easily managed by one person, great for a daysail and rides well on a trailer. And, it’s surprisingly seaworthy for such a small boat.” Sailing-New-England.com
